You held my hand,
you held onto the time
that passed between us.
But your grip was too tight,
you killed the time
and we felt the seconds painfully lessen within us.
We lived in a haze,
closed and hidden from reality.
And we forgot to exist
within the realms of life.
The moments we shared
were all embroidered with pure insanity.
Time doesn't keep heed of our activity.
I didn't hold onto your hand,
I didn't hold onto the time
that passed between us.
My grip wasn't even too tight,
when I hugged you goodbye.
And I felt the distance grow between us.
