Orange and green may not blend perfectly,
oil and water don't ever mix.
You and I were never meant to belong in the same sentence.
But looking at it, we've gotten as far as this.
The sun and moon don't ever meet.
Neptune never runs into Mars.
Asteroids and planets never attract,
not even with shooting stars.
But like two music notes,
we meet at a certain point.
And produce a beautiful harmony.
A duet with a two-four beat,
complete to create a perfect symphony.
I'm the staccato, you're the crotchet.
You fill out my blanks perfectly.
Like a treble clef and a stave,
you couldn't function without me.
