Confessions of a write- and blogaholic

It's exam time, and her tiny pauses in between are being filled up with writing poetry and prose. But the sun just came out, so she goes out and soaks it up. You never know, it might be the only sun this year in Belgium.

She makes her way to the local book shop. Not to necessarily buy something. No, just browsing through the newly delivered books always seems to inspire her for her writer's block moments. The feathery breeze of Jodi Picoult's book as she flips through it, the breathtaking picture on the cover of Nicci French's new bestseller. She makes a mental note to save up for that book this time, the new cardigan that was on number one on her list can wait. Yes, even that can wait.

Two days ago, she had dropped by the library. Her basket was soon full of books. She only realized it when she stood in front of the ever-smiling librarian that maybe ten novels were a little too ambitious for three weeks.

Once back at home, she puts up a painting in front of her desk. That way, when she's writing, it can give her inspiration. It's cheesy, but even the small details inspire her. The red cheeks, the silhouette, the hair blown in  the wind.

Maybe she needs rehab. Sometimes, it really gets out of hand. 'My name's Nozizwe. And I'm a write- and blogaholic...'.  She smiles.
